POSITIVE RESULTS AT MIPTV
Kukurota, Dinamiks, Night and Day and Merlin were among the TV3-Televisió de Catalunya productions that sparked the most interest on the international marketplace during this year's MIPTV.
The Merlin series was acquired by La Sexta, for the Spanish territory; by an Italian distributor; and by a French TV channel. The first-rate script and current relevance of the subjects touched upon in the program attracted buyers interested in the format and in direct licensing agreements alike.
This MIPTV also saw the sale of Kukurota to a Russian distributor. Kukurota is a program targeted to children, in documentary format, which little ones love.
France and the Czech Republic bought Dinamiks, another general interest program for children, which also attracted interest from buyers in the United States, China, Italy and Mexico.
Mexico, in fact, acquired some of our mini-series and TV Movies, including Barcelona: Neutral City, Looming Affairs, and We Shall Return, all of them productions on salient subjects with a feature-film feel.
Infidelity, a daring series touching on varying profiles of women today, continues on its successful path. Not only can it now be seen in Mexico and France, but also in Colombia and the United States.
All in all, TV3-Televisió de Catalunya came away from MIPTV 2016 with very positive results, proving once again that our products meet the expectations of the most demanding clients in the International market.
