Force and Bravery during the Spanish Civil War

Pandullo and Maria live happily together in a small Galician coastal town. They have a daughter, and another one is on the way.
Pandullo and his friend Modesto are Republicans and have to flee and hide out on O Pindo mountain when the fascists burst on the scene. Bailarete, one of those fascists, controls the village and takes it upon himself to murder dissidents.

Following Bailarete's attack on Maria's adolescent  daughter, the man is found dead, with Pandullo's signature.

The Civil War, the early post-war years and the bravery of one woman in a Galician fishing village.
