Gaudí, Nature's Architect

A Look at the Architect's Work Through His Own Thoughts

In his architectural approach, full of impossible, imaginative, almost organic and anticipatory forms, Gaudí offers countless analogies, cultural references, and  encounters with other architectural styles and cultural and social landscapes.

This documentary offers a look at Gaudí's work through his thoughts. His world and his work are described in words the architect called up in his dying hours and left in his wake. It is Gaudí's own vision that opens the doors to his universe.

Experts and researchers guide viewers in interpreting "Gaudinian" concepts  and encourage them to come up with their own readings. Participants in this documentary are Gaudí Chair Director Joan Bassegoda; architect Cristian Cirici; poet Pere Gimferrer; writer Victoria Cirlot; writer Joan Perucho; architect Jordi Bonet; and writer Baltasar Porcel.

Gaudí, Nature's Architect is a descriptive documentary that relates Gaudí's work to his sources of inspiration and examines its impact on our cultural environment.
