Els anglesos The Zombies van fracassar amb el seu disc de debut el 1965, i el seu segell els va despatxar. Tres anys després es van autofinançar la gravació del disc psicodèlic "Odessey and oracle", que tampoc va anar bé d'entrada, i es van acabar separant.
