This animated series targeted at children ages 6 to 9 is based on the character 'Dr. Woody,'¿or 'Dr. W' for short¿a wacky doctor who's always searching for the truth about nature. He hosts a general knowledge TV program and in each episode he explains things in his own zany, ironic way. Dr. W is stubborn and will do whatever it takes to get to the bottom of things. He is a doctor, a jester and a magician.
He deals with a wide range of subjects, no matter how hard, painful or complicated they may seem: how evolution works, how cuts heal, the differences between the sexes, the importance of boiled water or why and how people grow old and die.
Dr. W is a gangly character. His face and red hair give him a circus-clown air and he is histrionic when giving explanations. He is scary and funny by turns and has his fair share of human weaknesses.
The series' second season includes subjects such as the circus, surreal art, music, human conception, the apocalypse and robotics.
A production that has been enjoyed by youngsters in Argentina, Finland, France, Mexixo, Portugal and the United States.
