Nils persuades Martin to impress Soft Feather by doing an aerobatics demonstration. Unfortunately, Soft Feather and the rest of the flock are not impressed by Martin but more by Nils. Martin is angry, he did the aerobatics, Nils just told him what to do. Nils agrees and tries to put things right but, because of a misunderstanding, the situation gets worse and the furious Martin decides to leave the flock. Nils and Soft Feather discover his disappearance shortly afterwards and set off to find him which they do¿ in the clutches of Smirre and Krobak.
