Our heroes have landed on an island paradise where Soft Feather and her sisters talk of nothing but handsome ganders. Martin sulks, he would so like Soft Feather to say the same things about himself. Nils is moved by his friend and urges him to declare his love to Soft Feather; it is now or never. Martin is scared stiff at the idea and is completely at a loss when he tries to tell the pretty goose. Nils suggests they use the `Cyrano de Featherac' method where Nils prompts him what to say. This works for a time¿ until Lina arrives on the island and discovers what they are up to. She is intrigued by this human method and intervenes. The result is that Lina falls out with Nils and Soft Feather with Martin¿
