Nils reproaches Akka again for her `teacherish' attitude when the flock is fired on by hunters and must do an emergency landing in a forest to continue on foot. Akka knows there is a way out not far away¿ a short flight but a long way on foot. With the hunters still around, the flock has no choice but to walk. After a few mishaps, due to this unfamiliar activity, Nils the pedestrian persuades Akka to let him lead the geese.
