Athanor takes Lina on a mission to the heart of the Black Elf's lair. Martin and Nils arrive but Athanor does not want the two unpredictable heroes to take part. Lina is wounded and finally Nils goes into the maze with Athanor. The elf and the boy disagree about everything and working together is a torture, each being a burden for the other. Then the Black Elf casts a spell on Athanor which progressively weakens him and also ties him to Nils. Athanor knows how to recover his strength; they must go to the magical waterfall of life. Nils, still attached to the old elf, can take him there but the unlikely duo will have to accomplish the impossible ¿ trust each other¿
