A New Prize for Quèquicom (Who-What-How)
The episode titled Homeopatia: creença o evidència ("Homeopathy: Belief or Evidence"), broadcast on TV3's channel 33 program "Quèquicom," won the "Medicine and Health Sciences" award at the 27th Ronda Film Festival.
"Homeopathy: Belief or Evidence" is a work by Samantha Vall and Dani Vallvé, presented and directed by Jaume Vilalta. The episode sets forth the brief that neither homeopathic postulates nor remedies are scientifically based, yet they work for those who use them.
A total of 138 films from 17 countries participated in the 2014 International Biennial of Scientific Films in Ronda, which is organized by the Asociación Española de Cine e Imagen Científicos; the International Association for Media in Science; the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología (FECYT); and the Fundación CEDIA, from Ecuador.
