CCMA’s Professional Media Statute regulates relations between the Corporation and its staff with regard to the gathering, elaboration, and dissemination of information.
The document sets out various ethical principles, rights and duties, and covers issues concerning professional conduct and confidentiality. It also establishes the structure of the News Department and a Professional Committee that both represents journalists and monitors compliance with the Statute’s provisions.
The powers conferred by the Statute are exercised by the Director General, a quarter of the members of the Board of Management, and the professional committees
